We have some wonderful persons in our country, who are die-hard fans of promoting art of our country. We are also blessed with very rich culture of artists and experts in every aspect of life. But specifically I am going to tell you about an art, which is now making its presence at international level through some dedicated persons like Ahsan Amin. As technology evolves rapidly these art works needs to be enabled with latest technologies and man like Ahsan are doing same for our community.

Let me introduce Ahsan Amin. A man who started his journey from an early age to a surfeit of handicrafts made and assembled across all of the provinces of Pakistan by his family’s business, Ahsan understood that design, unfortunately, was led by the international market. After completing his undergraduate studies in Canada, most of which was spent in testing the foreign market for Pakistani handicrafts and developing of contacts, Ahsan returned to his homeland of Karachi with a mission. He was going to take his father’s business model of exporting to foreign clients, and completely revamp the production process by collaborating across the seven seas.

What was started almost three decades ago has now grown into a great company known to many as East West Connections, which not only aims to serve customers all over the world but also to provide artisans from all over the world, especially Pakistan, with a platform where their creations can be truly admired by a greater audience that they could ever imagine. At East West Connections they offer a whole array of products ranging from rustic to contemporary to quench all your decor needs.

They (EWC interiors) strive to not only serve their clients and customers but also to provide the real artists, the fabricators of these awe inspiring products living in destitute areas of Pakistan, with an incentive to not only better themselves but everyone around them. And that is truly a greatest achievement for a Pakistani company.

They have been serving the customers of America, South America, Europe France, East Asia, Japan, Africa specifically Kenya, meaning their products are universal and recognised by the Artisan’s Community of the five Continents. I believe it is a great service to our country’s image building and revamping our rich artistic culture too.

Woven Stories:

Woven fabric is a textile formed by weaving. It is produced on a loom, and made of many threads woven on a warp and a weft. ECW has a wide variety and range in woven crafts. Ahsan Amin has a brilliant collection of rugs and other items related to woven for your home décor.

They (ECW) are organizing exhibition on regular basis. Recently Ahsan had collaborated with another famous personality- Tariq Luni, an internationally, recognized award winning sculptor, to display their works under the exhibition “Woven Stories” which was on display at the recently inaugurated Slingshot Studios between 3rd-5t February. Together, they had shown some of their most exclusive art pieces. Before this exhibition none of the pieces on display have ever been showcased by them before. One of the rugs on display took nearly two years for the artisans to complete. They are organizing these types of exhibitions on regular basis; if you had missed this time you should visit next time, but why not to visit their Facebook page & Instagram. You can also visit them at their store follow this link.
